Pioneer Veterinary Clinic’s Change in Services

Discontinuation of After Hours Emergency Services

Dear Valued Clients,

For the past 28 years, Pioneer Veterinary Clinic has provided veterinary care, including emergency services to the pet parents of Moses Lake and surrounding communities. We have always strived to provide excellent service to all of our patients and clients and have always been advocates for your pets’ health and safety. In emergency situations, making sure your pets receive the highest standard of care with the shortest response time has always been our goal. In those cases where a pet needs attention and our doctors are not available, our priority is making sure they get the needed care ASAP, and it sometimes results in a referral to a nearby emergency clinic. Please understand that if you are referred out, it is not because we don't want to see you or your pet, it is because we are overwhelmed with patients at that time.

Due to the current high demands of the surrounding community and in order to provide the best patient care, client care, and attention to our veterinarian’s needs we have come to the collective decision to discontinue offering our after-hours emergency services. This decision did not come lightly. It comes after much deliberation and evaluating many creative scheduling options and discussions with our team. So, beginning January 1st 2023, we will be ceasing our after-hours emergency services.

We understand the impact this will have on the community and will do our best to communicate options for pets in need during those hours. We will continue to work with the nearby pet urgent care and emergency clinics to ensure the best medical care possible for your pets. We want to thank you for your support and loyalty over the years and we are looking forward to continuing offering the excellent veterinary care you have come to expect from us for years to come. While the situation isn't ideal, we appreciate your understanding that well-cared-for veterinarians means well-cared-for patients.

Finding an available veterinarian in an emergent situation can be stressful and we want to help make this transition as easy as possible. For your convenience we have included a list of nearby pet urgent care and emergency clinics and their contact information.

If you have any questions or concerns about this change in services, please reach out to Katrina, our Practice Manager at 509-765-6794.

Sincerely,

The Veterinarians and Staff at Pioneer Veterinary Clinic
